RIMSA designed its first LED or light in 2002, when LED technology was not yet highly developed and anti-glare technologies – typical of today’s or lights – were only a distant thought.
RIMSA has enjoyed international success in this field. First of all, RIMSA’s medical lamps were the first to be equipped with an indirect illumination system thanks to which it was possible to extend the light beam of the LEDs – which would normally be more limited. Indirect light also reduces glare to a minimum and does not create shadows when another object or arm is placed between the light source and the object being observed. Thanks to this technology, that is implemented in all our major surgery lights, operators are free to move about freely, without worrying about shadows forming or making mistakes because of them.
The technology conceived and designed by RIMSA is crucial in this area, as doctors and surgeons are responsible for the well-being and lives of patients, so any possible obstacles, including those that could be caused by light, must be minimized.
Furthermore, the lighting in this area must be the best possible. This is why RIMSA’s LEDs are specially designed to create light that is bright and strong, but at the same time not fatiguing or distracting. The lighting intensity can be adjusted by means of a keyboard or a dimmer touch button.
